Meet Blakely.

Originally from Annapolis Maryland, Charleston-based artist Blakely Little (business named Blakely Made) pays homage to years spent by the coast in her loose and layered scenes. You might recognize Blakely’s work from a myriad of impressive collaborations, including Anthropologie, or from incredible original collections that draw inspiration from travels, Charleston and everyday life (her al fresco series is my favorite!).

Blakely has a deep sense of color and layering that brings even the most recurrent artistic subject into a fresh, novel light. A favorite example of mine is her seascapes and shorelines in which the perspective is flattened, the elements are clustered together, and the landscape becomes a rich canvas of patterns interacting with each other.
