Meet Glory.

Glory Day Loflin is a Greenville, SC based interdisciplinary artist exploring ideas through wood, clay and paint (and everything else!). Glory graduated from the Cooper Union in 2014 and is now pursuing a Masters at Clemson University. Unbound by a focus on one material, her practice moves from medium to medium pursuing an idea while inspiring curiosity and invoking a sense of joy in the everyday.

Imbued with personal elements, Glory’s work feels like an anthropological piece of her world and a challenge to the viewer to see their own surroundings in new color. Her “griddies” are highlights of this - cabinet of curiosities that are made by layering painting and stencils to reveal vessels, fruit, and other objects from her home and life. They are magical representations of the everyday.
